Victoria and Albert Museum contemporary ceramics room

Whilst visiting the V&A I took the opportunity to visit the contemporary ceramics room. Initially I wanted to visit and see ‘Silent Tears’ by Taraneh Hemami but I quickly became facinated with a number of pieces within the gallery.

Lastly I visited the contemporary ceramics room to see Silent tears by Taraneh Hemami. This work consists of seven ceramic tears that symbolise the artist morning for her country Iran each tear is covered in wax that obscures Arabic letters referencing the silencing of exiled people.
