Dagmar Kovar

With my interest in paper making developing I came across the work of Dagmar Kovar. She creates beautiful fragile pieces that are often 3 dimensional. Her work explores the nature of living, our strength and fragility as well as a connection to our history and the past. All these ideas are represented well by her choice of materials, that themselves have the same connections.

I love the delicate fragility of the pieces and also that she chooses to keep to a very neutral white colour that could look clinical but because of the organic forms has a more ethereal other worldly feel… afterlife?
